Data Management

The Data Management (Reporting tool) can give you some useful information based on your data and export the results to html or csv (spreadsheet). It doesn't create records in the database.

If you need to see a list of certain orders or items, with particular columns in the table, this is just what the data manager (Reports) is for. Organise comes with a few reports built in (eg Outstanding balances, Top sellers). Choose the report and press the Run Report button to generate a report. You can then press To HTML or To Spreadsheet to export the report.

The idea is that new reports to suit your needs can be dropped in. Contact me if you'd like to discuss a custom report, or if you are technically-minded, please see Report Builder reference guide.

Using a template

From v6, Organise can display a report using a template. One is built in as an example - Outstanding balance for open customer (open up the chosen customer in the workspace before running the report.)

The customisable template is exactly the same as the ones used by the order (so the background image / style of the table is customisable too). Use the tag <report> where you want the table to be placed.

When you go to print your report, if a template exists with a corresponding name, it'll use it. If not it'll just print a list as before. You can print it or save a pdf.
