An item can contain other items. This allows you to
- sell a kit made up from other items in your inventory. You just add the kit to the Order when you sell one, and all the items within that kit are deducted from your inventory.
- Sell an item in different units - if you sell hose by the metre, and by the 50m reel, then the collective item can be called 'reel of hose' and contain 50 x 1m of hose. The reel can have a different price than 50 x 1m.
To create a collective item, tick 'This item contains other items'. Fields that aren't relevant will disappear, and a new tab 'Contains' will appear, where you can add the constituent items and set the quantity. (eg A kit can contain 3 green widgets and one red).
The collective item calculates its own quantity, based on the items that are contained within it.
