Upgrading from an earlier version

This is designed to be as quick and simple as possible.

  1. Once downloaded, (double-click the Organise.dmg file if necessary) you should have a disc drive icon on your desktop called 'Organise3.xPro'. Inside this is the new version of the application.
  2. Drag and drop the new version of the application into your Applications folder.
  3. Run Organise 2 by double-clicking it.

If you have been using Organise v1.x before installing v2.x or v3.x it will ask you whether you wish to import your existing Organise database. If you agree, then Organise will copy and upgrade your v1 database.

If you don't take that opportunity, you can still import your Organise database by using File > Database > Import Organise Database.

Because the v1 database and the v2 database are stored in different locations, if you run the v1 version of Organise, you will see your data as it was the last time you used v1.
